Elders
Gary Meadows
Gary is from Indianapolis, Indiana and has been married to Beth for the 29 years. The Meadows moved to Nashville in 1994. When they learned the minister who had performed their wedding (David Gaylor) was the minister at Smith Springs the Meadows began attending and have remained since that time. Gary has served as an elder since 2002. The Meadows have two grown sons, Andrew and James. Gary has worked in the financial services industry since his graduation from Lipscomb in 1974 and is currently a Financial Advisor & Financial Services Rep for MetLife. Beth is a teacher at Goodpasture Christian School.
Gary enjoys reading, history, and sports; particularly football and baseball. As a family they have, from time to time, expressed a passing interest in the Indianapolis Colts.
Gilbert Nave
Gilbert is from Chattanooga and has been married to Madonna he says, “for a short 35 years.” They have three grown children, Sonny, Maranda and Leah. The Naves have attended Smith Springs for 20 years and Gilbert has served as an elders for the last 7 years. Gilbert finds a great sense of joy whenever the larger family meets together for worship.
Gilbert works as an administrator in the Metro-Davidson Country Water Services. Beyond family, church and work, Gilbert enjoys sports … especially when the Vols and the Titans are winning.
Jim Smith
Jim Smith is from Montgomery Alabama. Jim and his wife Marilyn have
been members at Smith Springs for 29 years. They have one son, Jamie. Jim’s greatest joy in his leadership role is to glorify
